How to Create Your Account and Become a Volunteer
Before you create an account, YOU MUST ATTEND IN PERSON ORIENTATION. Sign up for orientation here: Becoming a Volunteer – Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter
Step 1: Open the main dashboard and choose “Sign Up” in the top right corner
Step 2: Create your account (Please note: you have to be at least 12 years old to register for an account and you must have a guardian over the age of 18 that is willing to come to the training and all of your shifts with you.
Step 3: Follow the 6 steps and fill out what applies to you! Please read them all carefully because some won’t apply to you. For instance, if you’re wanting to be a rabbit volunteer - fostering questions won’t apply to you.
You will also need to electronically sign our shelter agreement saying you’ll adhere to all the guidelines.
Once they’re both signed you can continue to the next step and they’ll be approved shortly.
And you’re all set!
